Sherbaug is a small amusement park and themed garden on the Panchgani–Mahabaleshwar highway, run by the Mala's fruit-syrup company (Mapro's chief rival). The format is much the same as Mapro's: themed gardens, a restaurant, an ice-cream parlour, a chocolate counter and a play area for children. The Sherbaug version skews more toward families with small kids — there is a small train ride, a maze and a puppet show area.
It is not essential, but if you are travelling with children, it is a sensible alternative to (or addition to) the Mapro stop. Lighter crowds outside the strawberry season. Open daily; tickets are inexpensive.
