Rourkela's main attractions are natural rather than urban. The sacred confluence at Vedavyas and the towering Khandadhar waterfall are the highlights, both easily reached as day trips. Closer to town, the Indira Gandhi Park is the largest park in Odisha, and the Mandira Dam offers pleasant waterside walks.
