Gurdwara Toot Sahib is a smaller historic Sikh shrine in the Sultanwind area of Amritsar. It is associated with Guru Arjan Dev, who is said to have rested here under a toot, or mulberry, tree. The tree itself is gone, but the memory gives the gurdwara its name.
This is not a substitute for the Golden Temple, nor should it be treated as another sightseeing box to tick. It is best for travellers who already have time in Amritsar and want to understand how Sikh sacred geography extends into neighbourhood shrines, not only the city's famous central complex.
