Ram Tirth, or Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal, is a major pilgrimage complex west of Amritsar. Tradition links the site with Valmiki's hermitage and with the Ramayana story of Sita, Luv, and Kush, giving it a different devotional character from the Sikh and colonial sites in the city centre.
The complex has a holy tank, temples, and modern devotional architecture. It is best visited with cultural curiosity and enough time for the drive, not squeezed between the Golden Temple and Wagah as an afterthought.
