Ajmer is a religious shopping town more than a tourist one. The lanes around the Dargah sell devotional items, attar perfumes, embroidered cloths and rose petals. For everyday Indian shopping — silver, fabrics, dried fruit, spices — the bazaar around Madar Gate and Naya Bazaar is more useful and considerably less hectic.
