An 18th-century waterfront haveli built by a prime minister of Mewar, now a museum showing how Rajasthani nobility lived. Over a hundred rooms display costumes, paintings, musical instruments, and puppets. The building itself is the main attraction — carved balconies, coloured glass windows, and a courtyard facing Gangaur Ghat.
The evening cultural show in the courtyard is one of the best things to do in Udaipur. An hour of Rajasthani folk dance and puppet shows, well-performed and atmospheric in the old haveli setting. Get there early for a good seat.
