Inside the City Palace complex, the Sunset Terrace at Fateh Prakash hotel is exactly what it sounds like — a stone terrace facing west across Lake Pichola, with a small bar, comfortable wicker chairs and a live ghazal singer most evenings. The drinks list runs to a respectable selection of Indian wines and imported spirits; the bar snacks are good.
The view, with the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir lit up against the water as the light fades, is one of the city's signature experiences. Expensive by Udaipur standards (cocktails ₹800–1,200), but worth one evening.
