A small German-Austrian bakery cafe near Hanuman Ghat, Edelweiss is where travellers stop for a proper breakfast — flaky croissants, brown bread, real coffee, and apple strudel — after a week of aloo paratha. The mosaic floors and small wrought-iron tables feel slightly out of place in Udaipur, which is part of the appeal.
Mornings are busiest. They also do excellent quiches and a passable lasagne for lunch. Reasonably priced; expect to wait for a table at peak times.
