A hilltop palace perched on the Aravalli range west of the city, originally built as an astronomical observatory and monsoon retreat. The palace itself is a shell — there is not much to see inside — but the panoramic views over Udaipur and its lakes at sunset are the real draw.
The drive up through Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary is scenic. Go in the late afternoon, watch the sunset, and head back down. An auto-rickshaw from the old city costs around ₹300–400 return with waiting time.
