A small lake immediately north of Lake Pichola, connected to it by a sluice and originally built by Maharana Swaroop Singh in the 1850s. The two lakes are separated by a narrow stone causeway lined with whitewashed buildings; from the causeway you can look out at the City Palace to the south and at the green hills to the north.
Less visited than its bigger neighbour, Swaroop Sagar is good for a quiet walk at dawn or dusk. The Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal folk museum sits on its northern shore.
