A Dehradun institution on Paltan Bazaar near the Clock Tower, in business since 1955. The morning queue is for chole bhature — large puffy fried bread served with chickpea curry — and the rest of the day for the sweet counter at the front: bal mithai, kalakand, motichoor laddoo.
Take what you want from the trays at the counter and pay at the cashier. No table service, no frills, no English menu, but easy to point and pay. Closed Tuesdays.
