Dehradun's food is a particular hill-station hybrid: Garhwali specialities, North Indian basics, Tibetan momo stalls, and a colonial bakery tradition that survives in a handful of family-run establishments around Rajpur Road. The street food around the Clock Tower and Paltan Bazaar is reliably good; the better sit-down restaurants cluster along Rajpur Road heading north out of the city.
