Noida's location makes it a workable launchpad for many of north India's best-known destinations. Old Delhi, with its lanes around the Jama Masjid and the Red Fort, is 45 minutes by metro. The Taj Mahal at Agra is about three hours' drive by the Yamuna Expressway, possible as a long day trip. Mathura and Vrindavan, the towns sacred to Krishna, are slightly closer.
Closer to home, the Surajkund crafts mela (held annually in February at a tank just south of Delhi) is a popular short trip, and the medieval Tughlaqabad Fort on the Delhi side is a 40-minute drive. The bird sanctuary at Sultanpur National Park, an hour west in Haryana, makes another good winter day out.
