The newer districts of Cirebon have a growing café scene, with several places serving single-origin Arabica and Indonesian specialty roasts alongside local snacks. These tend to be comfortable spots suitable for an afternoon break between sightseeing. In the old town, traditional warung kopi (coffee stalls) are more typical: small, basic, and social, with strong sweet coffee and snacks like pisang goreng (fried banana). The warung kopi are best in the morning, when the regulars gather before the heat of the day sets in.
