Taman Sriwedari is an old entertainment park in Solo best known for traditional Javanese performance. Depending on the programme, you may find wayang kulit shadow play or wayang wong, with actors performing stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata to live gamelan music.
The park also has simple family attractions and food stalls, but the reason to come is the chance to see classical Javanese theatre in a casual city setting.
