Raja Ampat is principally a diving and snorkelling destination. Almost everything of note here is underwater. That said, the above-water landscape — karst islands, jungle-covered slopes, and bays so still they look like mirrors at dawn — is spectacular in its own right. The Wayag and Pianemo viewpoints require a hike and deliver one of the great views in Indonesia.
