Sungai Suci Beach is north of Bengkulu, beyond the easy city beaches and best reached with your own transport. Its appeal is the shape of the coast: low cliffs, surf, and a large offshore rock linked to the mainland by rope bridges.
Come for the view and the short walk out toward the rock. It is more distinctive than the usual roadside beach stop, but it is still exposed coast, so check conditions before crossing the bridges.
