Isfahan's bazaar is one of the longest covered bazaars in the world, stretching from the Qeysarieh Portal on Naqsh-e Jahan Square northward into the old city. Its domed brick passageways house hundreds of shops selling carpets, copperware, inlaid boxes, spices, and the silver filigree for which Isfahan craftsmen are famous. The bazaar is most atmospheric in the older sections away from the square, where workshops open directly onto the lanes and you can watch metalworkers and weavers at work.
