Built in the 18th century under Karim Khan Zand, the Vakil Bazaar is one of the best-preserved historic bazaars in Iran. The main corridors are long, vaulted brick tunnels with a steady cool temperature even in summer. Traders sell spices, dried fruit, carpets, copperware, and jewellery — this is a working market, not a sanitised tourist version. The spice section alone is worth a slow walk through.
