One of the newer specialty coffee places in central Shiraz, Cafe Ferdowsi pulls competent espresso, V60 pour-overs, and the usual selection of cakes, and is popular with university students. The room is small, with a few tables on the pavement and a long counter inside.
It is a useful caffeine stop between the morning rounds of the Pink Mosque and the bazaar. Younger Shirazis come here in the evenings — the café scene is one of the few spaces where young Iranians gather socially outside the home.
