Acre is well connected by public transport from both Haifa and Tel Aviv.
By train: The most convenient option from Haifa. Trains run frequently from Haifa's central stations to Acre station, a journey of about 20 minutes. The station is a 10-minute walk from the old city.
By bus: Buses run from Haifa's main bus terminal. The journey takes around 30–40 minutes depending on traffic. From Tel Aviv, a direct bus takes about 2 hours.
By car: Acre is on Route 4, the coastal road north of Haifa, about 25 km from Haifa city centre. There is paid parking near the old city walls.
