This viewpoint looks across the valley to Bitchu Matsuyama Castle, the mountain castle that sometimes appears to float above a sea of morning cloud. The view is best in the early morning, especially in the cooler months when mist collects below the ridge.
It is about 8.5 km from Bitchu-Takahashi Station. Seasonal early buses may run during peak viewing periods, but the timing is aimed at people who are serious about catching the cloud scene.
