Nunobiki Herb Garden spreads across the slope above central Kobe, reached by ropeway from near Shin- Kobe Station. The gardens, greenhouses, seasonal flowers, and herb-themed terraces are pleasant, but the real bonus is the view over Kobe and the harbour below.
It pairs naturally with Nunobiki Falls and the trails behind Shin-Kobe. Come in clear weather, take your time descending through the garden, and use it as an easy half-day escape from the dense city streets.
