Tokyo Tower

Tokyo's iconic 333-metre red-and-white broadcasting tower

The 333-metre red-and-white tower opened in 1958 and remains a Tokyo landmark. The views are good but queues are long and ticket prices are high — if you want a city panorama, the Mori Art Museum observation deck in Roppongi Hills offers a comparable view with more to see. Worth a look from the outside even if you skip the climb.
