Kōchi's sights are spread between the compact city centre and the Katsurahama peninsula to the south. The castle and the Sunday market anchor the centre; Katsurahama merits a half-day on its own. The pilgrimage temples are a quieter draw, but Chikurin-ji in particular is worth the short trip.
