Ahmadi is a compact town and the central area — the residential neighbourhoods, Ahmadi Park, and the Oil Display Centre — can be covered on foot if the weather permits. The town's grid layout makes navigation easy, and the planted trees along most streets provide some shade in milder months.
A car is strongly recommended if you want to explore beyond the immediate town centre, or if you are visiting in warmer weather. The Burgan oil field area to the south and the coast are only accessible by car. Kuwait has no public transport within Ahmadi worth relying on, and the distances between points of interest outside the town core make walking impractical in summer.
Ride-hailing apps work in Ahmadi and are the easiest option if you don't have a rental car.
