When to Go

The best time to visit Ahmadi is November through March, when temperatures are pleasant and the outdoor spaces — particularly Ahmadi Park — are genuinely enjoyable. Daytime highs in December and January hover around 18–22°C, cool enough for a walk around the town's tree-lined streets without any discomfort. These are also the months when the town's famous greenery looks its best, watered and maintained through the cooler season.

Summer (June–September) is brutal, with temperatures regularly exceeding 45°C. The humidity near the Gulf coast makes the heat feel worse, and outdoor sightseeing becomes essentially impossible in the middle of the day. If you must visit in summer, plan any outdoor activity for early morning or after sunset.

Ramadan brings a different rhythm to the town — restaurants close during daylight hours, and the pace slows noticeably. It can be a good time to observe Kuwaiti life at close quarters, but requires adjusting expectations around food and opening hours.
