Getting There

Ahmadi lies roughly 40 km south of Kuwait City, connected by the well-maintained Highway 30 (the Fahaheel Expressway). By car from Kuwait City the drive takes around 30–40 minutes depending on traffic; the morning and evening rush hours on this highway can be slow.

There is no passenger rail service in Kuwait. Public buses run between Kuwait City and the Ahmadi Governorate, but services are infrequent and geared toward commuters rather than visitors. A taxi or ride-hailing app (Careem and similar services operate in Kuwait) is the most practical way to arrive independently.

Most visitors arrive by private or rental car. Kuwait International Airport is located north of Kuwait City, so arriving from the airport you pass through the city before continuing south on the highway.
