Things to Do

There is essentially one reason to come up here: to walk among the ancient cedars at the Forest of God. Most visitors do it in an hour or two and combine it with Bcharre and the Qadisha Valley below. If you have a full day, the surrounding mountains offer easy hiking in summer and the small Cedars ski station in winter, plus the ascent to Qornet es Saouda, the highest peak in the Levant.
