Taming Sari Tower is a rotating observation tower near Melaka's historic core. The short ride rises above the low cityscape and gives a clear 360-degree look over the Dutch Square area, the river, the Strait of Malacca, and the spread of modern Melaka beyond.
It is more ride than monument, but the view is useful when you are trying to understand how compact the old port city is. Go on a clear day or around sunset, when the waterfront and old centre are easiest to pick out.
