Bukit Gasing Forest Park

A genuine patch of dipterocarp rainforest surviving on the ridge between PJ and Kuala Lumpur, with a network of marked trails and wooden steps that climb to a pair of viewpoints — one with a Hindu temple at the top, the other with views across to the Petronas Towers. The whole loop is a couple of hours at an easy pace.

Macaques, monitor lizards, dusky leaf monkeys, and the occasional long-tailed macaque on the path. Go early for the wildlife and to beat the heat. Trail entrances at the end of Jalan 5/52 in PJ Section 5 and on the KL side off Jalan Gasing.
