Thambula Temple

Thambula Temple is one of the quieter stops in the Minnanthu area of Bagan, close to Paya Thone Zu. It is traditionally linked to Thambula, wife of King Uzana, and is worth a stop for visitors already exploring the eastern temple cluster.

The temple is noted for its visible Chinese influence, especially in the figures' eyes, hair, and yellow colouring. It is best treated as part of a slow circuit through the nearby temples rather than a single headline monument.
