Tawi is a small village inland from Khasab with prehistoric rock engravings scratched into the stone around it. The carvings show boats, animals, and warriors, a compact reminder that Musandam's dry valleys and sea routes have been used for a very long time.
It is an easy add-on if you have a car or guide for the Khasab area. Do not expect a formal museum site; the appeal is in finding old marks in a stark mountain landscape.
