Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is Salalah's main modern mosque, completed in 2009 and large enough for thousands of worshippers. Its pale stone, broad prayer halls, and ordered courtyards make it one of the city's clearest architectural statements.
Visitors should dress conservatively. Women need to cover hair, wrists, and ankles, and everyone should avoid visiting during prayer times unless they are there to pray.
