The old souk near the fort sells fresh produce, fish, and everyday goods. For souvenirs, the market at Al Hujra (near the fort) stocks handicrafts and the usual Gulf souvenir items. Modern shopping is provided by Safeer Mall and Lulu Hypermarket for those who need supplies. Sohar is not a destination for serious shopping.
