Al Ayjah Lighthouse stands above the harbour district across the water from Sur's old centre. The restored building is simple, but the position gives good views over the town, the lagoon, the sea, and the watchtowers that mark this side of Sur.
It is best combined with Al Ayjah Fort and the watchtowers. Together they give a clear sense of Sur's coastal defences and its long connection with the sea.
