Taxila's appeal is almost entirely archaeological. Eighteen distinct sites are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, spread across a valley that you could spend days exploring. The major ruins and monasteries are well-signposted, but the sheer number of sites means you will need to be selective unless you have several days. Start with the museum for context, then pick two or three ruins that interest you most.
