Andres Bonifacio Shrine

The Andres Bonifacio Shrine marks the remote place near Mount Nagpatong where revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio and his brother Procopio were executed in 1897. It is a stark, politically charged stop in a province already full of Philippine independence history.

The shrine takes effort to reach: the final approach is rough, and visitors may need to walk from the road through open pasture. That awkwardness is part of the experience. This is not a polished monument, but it adds a darker counterpoint to the Aguinaldo sites elsewhere in Cavite.
