Beaches

The 12-kilometre coastline running through and north of Iba is the main reason most visitors come. The beaches are grey-sand rather than white, but the water is clear, calm, and — unlike many Philippine coasts near major towns — genuinely unpolluted. There is no heavy industry in Zambales province, and the absence of any port or shipping traffic keeps the sea clean. Most beach resorts are small family-run affairs with simple cottages, day-use facilities, and direct beach access.
