The heritage district is compact and best covered on foot. From the San Diego Pro-Cathedral plaza, almost all the ancestral houses and museums are within a fifteen-minute walk. Rizal Street and Cinco de Noviembre Street are the main corridors; strolling them in either direction reveals heritage structures at almost every block.
Tricycles (motorised sidecars) are the standard local transport for getting between the town centre and the airport or the outskirts. A short tricycle ride within central Silay costs 10–20 pesos per person; a longer trip to Magikland or the airport runs 50–100 pesos. Negotiate the fare before you get in.
Habal-habal (motorcycle taxis) are also available and marginally faster on the main roads. There are no ride-hailing apps covering Silay; all arrangements are made directly with drivers at the terminal near the market or outside the cathedral.
