Silay is 14 km north of Bacolod by road. Jeepneys and vans (multicabs) run frequently from Bacolod's SM City terminal throughout the day; the trip takes 20–30 minutes. A taxi or tricycle from central Bacolod costs around 300–500 pesos depending on negotiation.
The Silay-Talisay Airport (also called Bacolod-Silay Airport) is located just north of town and serves the whole Negros Occidental region. Several airlines fly direct from Manila and Cebu. From the airport, a tricycle into central Silay takes about 10 minutes and costs 50–80 pesos.
