BF Homes is Parañaque's most established residential district: a large, partially gated community of quiet streets, mature trees, and an unusually dense concentration of restaurants and cafes for a neighbourhood that was originally purely residential. Over the decades, the ground floors of many BF Homes houses have been converted into small businesses, and the result is a pleasant, walkable restaurant strip along Aguirre Avenue and its side streets.
The neighbourhood is genuinely pleasant to walk around, which is not something you can say about much of Metro Manila. Tree-lined streets, moderate traffic, and a relaxed atmosphere make it a good base if you want something quieter than Makati but still connected to the city. SM City BF Parañaque anchors the commercial zone at the edge of the neighbourhood.
