The bayfront promenade along the reclaimed land of Parañaque and Pasay offers one of Manila's signature experiences: watching the sun drop into Manila Bay, silhouetting the casino towers and the distant mountains of Cavite. It is free, it is accessible, and on a clear evening it is genuinely beautiful.
The best stretch runs from the Solaire Resort southward along the baywalk to Okada Manila. Vendors set up along the edge selling street food and cold drinks as the light fades. The White Beach — a strip of white sand artificially created by the government — is nearby, though the water quality is not suitable for swimming.
Come between 5pm and 6:30pm depending on the season. The sunset is best appreciated from the paved esplanade rather than the beach itself, which gets crowded. Weekends draw large local crowds; weekday evenings are quieter.
