Okada Manila

The most architecturally ambitious of the Entertainment City resorts, Okada Manila opened in 2016 and is owned by Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada. The centrepiece is the Fountain of Dreams, a 30,000-square-metre indoor lagoon beneath a vast domed atrium, with a choreographed fountain show that runs several times daily.

The resort also has the largest swimming pool in the Philippines — a sprawling outdoor complex with a wave pool, multiple pools, and a beach club. Day passes for non-guests are available and make for an unexpectedly good afternoon if you're in transit through NAIA and have time to kill. The pool area has direct views across Manila Bay.

The casino is one of the largest in Asia, but even confirmed non-gamblers find plenty to do among the restaurants, bars, and the main atrium.
