Sabang is Puerto Galera's most animated beach — a compact strip of sand backed by dive shops, bars, and restaurants that stay open well into the night. It is the undisputed centre of the diving scene, with dozens of operators within walking distance offering everything from beginner PADI courses to technical dives on deeper wrecks. The beach itself is not large, but the energy makes up for it: long-tailed boats bob in the shallows, instructors run briefings over coffee, and by evening the bars fill with divers comparing notes.
If you are coming for the diving, staying in Sabang is the practical choice. If you want a quiet beach holiday, it probably is not.
