Tukuran Falls is one of the better inland breaks from Puerto Galera's beaches and dive shops. The trip takes you away from the resort strip into greener Mindoro country, with the waterfall and its pools as the payoff at the end.
Conditions vary with season and local access arrangements, so check before setting out rather than assuming it is a casual walk from town. It is most worthwhile if you want a half-day that shows a different side of Puerto Galera: freshwater, village roads and tropical vegetation instead of boats and sand.
