Quezon Provincial Capitol

The Quezon Provincial Capitol is the seat of provincial government and one of the more dignified buildings in Lucena. The grounds are open to the public and make a pleasant escape from the highway traffic — wide lawns, mature trees, and a building that carries the civic ambition of mid-twentieth-century Philippine architecture. The Quezon Convention Center sits adjacent to the capitol and hosts the province's larger public events.

The area around the capitol is quieter than the market district and gives a sense of Lucena's role as an administrative centre for the whole of Quezon Province, one of the largest provinces in the Philippines by land area.
