The Andong Folk Museum sits near the Andong Dam and houses an extensive collection of traditional artefacts, tools, costumes, and cultural objects from the surrounding region. The collection is particularly strong on the folk customs, seasonal rituals, and daily life of the Joseon-era yangban (aristocratic) and commoner classes that once defined this area. Several full-scale reconstructions of traditional interiors give a good sense of how people actually lived.
Outside the main building, an open-air exhibition area preserves traditional structures moved from villages submerged by the dam. This includes well-preserved tile-roofed houses, a granary, and a millstone facility. The museum is the starting point for the Andong Dam lakeside path, which makes for a pleasant walk in good weather. Signage is in Korean and English.
