Getting Around

The city centre is walkable, but the main attractions — Hahoe Folk Village, Dosan Seowon, the brick pagoda — require transport. Local buses connect the terminal to the folk museum and folk village, but services are infrequent and it's easy to miss the last bus back. Taxis are affordable and drivers generally know the main tourist sites.

Renting a car or hiring a driver for a day is a practical option if you want to see multiple outlying sights without worrying about bus schedules. Several guesthouses in Andong can arrange day tours or driver hire. For the city centre, everything is easily walked: the jjimdak alley, the old market, and the central shopping streets are all within a 20-minute radius of the bus terminal.
