Jeonju's greatest concentration of sights is in and around Hanok Village, the old quarter where hundreds of traditional tile-roofed houses remain in use. Beyond the village, Jeondong Cathedral and the Jeonju National Museum are the main city-centre draws, with Jeonju International Film Festival bringing Korea's independent cinema scene here every May.
